Simple Machines:
Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.com took the stage yesterday to introduce the long awaited Amazon Kindle Fire, a full color 7 inch multimedia eReader/tablet that will serve as a platform for customers to access Amazon's tremendous content library of eBooks, music, movies and tv, apps and more. The Kindle Fire will retail for $199, a dramatic pricing move that undercuts all name brand tablet competition. Launch date for the Kindle Fire is November 15th and pre-orders are currently underway.
Each Kindle Fire will come with a 30 day trial of Amazon Prime, the company's premium program providing free two-day shipping for all purchases and over 10,000 movies and tv shows instantly available on your Kindle Fire.
The Kindle Fire comes with built-in Wi-Fi and operates on Amazon's whispersync technology to both deliver content as well as save all of your content on Amazon's cloud servers. Kindle Fire owners may delete any apps, music, movies or books off of their Kindle Fire knowing that copies are always being kept on Amazon's servers for easy and quick retrieval.
The Kindle Fire comes with a host of added features including the Amazon Silk web browser which utilizes split-browser technology which utilizes Amazon's powerful servers to help deliver web content faster to users. There are many more features and benefits that Kindle Fire owners will enjoy and we'll be sure to explore them all here at the Kindle Fire Forums.
