iSpy Cameras Let's You 'Spy' On The World

(1/1)

Babyfacemagee:

The Kindle Fire has lots of amazing high-tech games and apps that are available made by big name developers that sometimes spend millions of dollars and thousands of man hours to develop their creations.  However, sometimes the coolest apps are the creation of a small outfit or even single person that has a really novel idea.  'iSpy Cameras' is one of these apps.  What is it?  Well 'iSpy Cameras' let's you connect to and view as well as take control of literally thousands of digital cameras around nation and around the world to let you 'spy' on life going on.  Now this might sound a bit mundane and perhaps voyeuristic at first.   But trust me...it's actually a really cool experience and it's highly addicting.

This shows the app on the iPhone but the Kindle Fire app is virtually identical iSpy Cameras for the iPhone and iPod Touch Video Review

With 'iSpy Cameras' uses 'public' cameras.  It's a little unclear if these are government run or if they are a combination of personal devices that have voluntarily been tied into the network but in the end it really doesn't matter.   The reason this app is so fascinating is that it let's you flip through so many different unique views that something is bound to catch your eye.  You can watch lions roaming in a zoo enclosure, see cruise ships pulling into and out of port, watch storm clouds gather over German mountains or see famous monuments from most of the more gorgeous cities of the world.

On top of just being able to view a nearly limitless amount of cameras that let you 'spy' on different cultures, animals, people, architecture, etc.   Many of the cameras actually let you control them and on-screen controls pop up when appropriate letting you pan, zoom and move up and down.  You can also snap pictures of what you're watching and save them to a gallery.   Of course the app let's you rate cameras as well as save your favorites.  Is it a bit voyeuristic and maybe intrusive to be watching people from thousands of miles away...many without knowing it?  Sure it is.  But just like reality tv keeps you glued to the television, 'iSpy Cameras' will keep you glued to your Kindle Fire.  There's new cameras being added all the time and if you want you can even recommend where one should be placed to the developer.   At only 99 cents, this is a really cool app to spend some time with.  Who knows, maybe some of the sites and views you see will inspire you to go visit them for real.
