Will the Kindle Fire be your first eReader or tablet? Do you already own a black and white eReader and are replacing/upgrading to the Kindle Fire? Maybe you plan to keep both or are you a tech enthusiast who owns multiple tablets and eReaders and is adding the Kindle Fire to your collection!? I have a Kindle DX that I use for reading. I plan on using the Kindle Fire I ordered for web browsing, movies and apps.

I currently have the Sony eReader, but this is going to replace the Sony. I am done with it.

I have a kindle, nook color and an iPad. Plan on using the Fire as an ereader and browsing. I don't like the browsing on the iPad. The nook is rooted and browses decent but I love the kindle and Amazon app store so am really looking forward to the Fire.

Overall, it is a decent reader, and does what is advertised. However, if the book has graphics they are blocky at best, and obviously black and white. Changing pages is a little slow, but battery life was good. Usually I can go a week or more between charges. If the Fire wasn't so cool, personally, I would probably stick with the Sony, but I have been wanting a basic tablet for some time, and this will bridge the gap for me with one device.

This will be my first tablet, my first reader, and my first "android" device. I've wanted a tablet, but the price of the ipad and the perceived clunkiness of android OS has kept me out of the game. Carrying an ereader on the road was just "one more thing" so I never made the leap.

First tablet for me (but my 17-yo daughter has in iPad that I'm occasionally allowed to use. I also have a Kindle 3 that I use a lot. No android devices in my stable yet, so Fire will be the first. Not sure Fire really qualifies as an Android device - the look and feel appear to be completely unique from what I've read.

I have an HP Slate (win7 tablet), not an iPad2. Ordered two KF's for family members who are looking for media players. Not too interested in the iPad2 unless someone wants to give me one :-) Not a fan of iTunes or iAnything much. Droid phones across the family now except one black sheep who has an older iPhone GS.

I been a Nook owner from day 1 and love the Nook but I saw a new, unopened kindle on sale on ebay for cheaper than retail so I snagged one up. i figured what the hell since i own a lot of amazon music and unbox videos. And I love this more than my Nook.
